Cocktail of the Week: Christmas in a Glass

For a while now, Kevin and I have been doing a little thing we call “Cocktail of the Week.” We pick a drink -sometimes a classic like a Gimlet or Old Fashioned, sometimes a concoction all our own- and learn to make it properly. If we don’t have the required ingredients, we run out to our favorite liquor store and buy what we’re missing. We don’t make them every week, but when we do they’re usually awesome.

This week we’re bringing you a new Christmas cocktail that Kevin came up with.  With the juniper in gin and the minty sweetness of peppermint schnapps lending their holiday flavors, we’re calling it Christmas in a Glass.

Christmas In a Glass Cocktail Recipe

Christmas in a Glass

1.5 oz Dr. McGillicuddy’s or peppermint schnapps
1.5 oz vodka
1 oz gin
0.5 oz grenadine syrup

Ingredientes

Stir all alcohol with ice, then strain into a glass. Drizzle the grenadine down the side of the glass to create a layered effect. Enjoy (responsibly)!

What would you call this cocktail?  Check out our previous Cocktails of the Week, The Brandy Apple, The Debutante, and our Cranberry Granita Cosmopolitan.
